We visited Boston in June and it’s become one of our favorite cities! There is so much to do in this city no matter what you’re interested in. We stayed for the weekend at Club Quarters Hotel which is a boutique business traveler hotel. They offer reasonable rates and small but sufficient rooms. Some of our favorite tourist spots were the Boston Fire Museum and Abigails Tea Room (the tea party museum). If you visit the Boston Tea Party Museum you may also want to walk Freedom Trail which is a 3 mile path with historic sights along the way. We also visited the House of Blues while we were in town to see one of our favorite bands. The HOB is across the street from Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Redsox (if you’re interested in baseball). Harvard is located in Boston and is another great spot to spend the afternoon at.

We did a lot of eating over the weekend and the food in town was amazing. Our favorite places are below. Flour had lots of breakfast pastries (gluten free) and coffee. Bostonia Public House had a great ambiance and the food was delicious (I had chicken and waffles). The Gourmet Dumpling House offers traditional dumplings and a busy environment. It’s a popular spot for locals so you typically end up sharing a table with another group of people. Spyce was probably the most unique restaurant we ate at. It’s a robotic kitchen that offers healthy and affordable options in less than 3 minutes. The concept of this place is so unique and I wish we had one in Atlanta! For drinks we visited the Tiki Rock which is a tropical-themed tiki bar with over the top drink options and music. Our favorite restaurant in Boston was Buttermilk and Bourbon. It’s New Orleans inspired and they offer small plates which are perfect for sharing. We visited here once for dinner and again for brunch.

Our favorite thing about Boston was how leisurely active the city was. We had great weather during our trip and the streets were filled with people riding their bikes, walking their dogs, laying out on the pier and strolling through the parks. Everyone was out and enjoying their day- not rushing or pushing you out of the way like some of the other highly populated cities. We also enjoyed how clean and safe the city felt which is important when you’re unfamiliar with an area. Overall we love Boston and will definitely be returning again.
