Hello there!
Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about us!
Brianna:

My name is Brianna and I’m the main author of chasingtheoceans. I’m an ex-corporate finance nerd turned wife and mother who is usually day dreaming about the next adventure I’ll loop my husband Jeffrey into. We enjoy various hobbies that you’ll see on the blog like traveling, hiking, RV’ing, aviation, scuba diving and ironically saving and investing money (can you believe I said those in the same sentence!?). One of my favorite things to do is be near the ocean! I could spend the entire day walking the beach, snorkeling and scuba diving.
Jeffrey:

Jeffrey is the brains of this operation! He helps with all of the website problems I can’t figure out on my own. He’s a huge motorsports and car enthusiast and has been a professional driving coach for BMW and Porsche. Also an ex-corporate finance nerd, his favorite thing to do is personal finances. He likes to travel so long as he doesn’t have to do any planning and we stop for coffee at every step along the way.
How we started:
Our name chasingtheoceans was created from the desire to chase and explore the oceans of the world by land, sea or air. I started this blog to document our travels and provide a guide to other adventure seekers with a typical 9-5 career. Traveling while working full time can often be a challenge but there are creative ways to see the world, save for the future and still login for work on Monday morning.
Our current adventure:
At the beginning of 2021, we became debt-free after paying off over $800,000 worth of debt and decided that we wanted more in life than to work, pay bills and die! We decided to hit the road and did a 2 month road trip visiting the United States in our Winnebago while working our remote 9-5 jobs. After getting home from our road trip, we packed our bags and moved to south Florida to be able to enjoy our hobbies on the weekends. In 2023, we grew our family and welcomed our sweet daughter. Fast forward to 2024, we both left our corporate jobs and have embraced early retirement by 28 and 35 years old. Our goal is to document our travel tips, financial advice and the journey to creating a fulfilling life.
I truly hope you enjoy the blog. Please leave me a comment and connect with me on Instagram @chasingtheoceans to follow our journey!
